Sobering Center

The Sobering Center will create a 24/7 alternate destination facility for individuals to recover from acute substance intoxication in the City of Chicago. The Sobering Center will be fully staffed with peer recovery coaches, counselors, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), and nurses to appropriately meet the needs of the intoxicated individual. This program will partner with the Emergency Medical Services (EMS), law enforcement, hospitals, and other community organizations to provide healthcare, resources, and ongoing support.
